a one-day workshop
This workshop helps identify personal and job related stressors in 7 categories and practical suggestions for coping with those elements that cannot be eliminated or reduced.  $10 charge per person for text used in this workshop.

Personal stress diagnosis
Overview of effective management of stress

Unit 2: Self-Awareness and Personal Planning

Personality factors and stress
Orientation to others
Personal planning

Unit 3:  Holistic Living

Wellness assessment
Information and activities concerning nutrition
Exercise and letting go

Unit 4: Creating and Using Support Networks 

Assess present support network
 Need for high-quality relationship
 Improving the quality of support received

Unit 4: Managing Work-related Stress 

Research findings and a process to address this type of stress
How well do you fit
Identify excessive stress
Managing on the job

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:  

1.  Explain what stress is, where it comes from, and what it can do to people.
2. Diagnose their present sources and levels of stress.
3. Analyze their responses to stress and the results of these responses.
4. Develop personal plans of action for improved stress management after reviewing a variety of proven techniques.
