WORKSHOP CONTENT  

Unit I : Overview of Supervision and Management:
Rate yourself on 17 essential skills; analyze what effective supervisors do.
Unit ll Job Design and Personnel Selection:
  Design the job to meet defined needs; select the right person for the right job
Unit III: Leadership Style:
Inventory your style to learn your natural style, your range of styles, how to be more effective as a leader, and when to use four leadership styles most effectively
Unit IV:   Directing, Coaching and Supporting:
Give effective orders, use a positive approach to correcting errors, and give feedback to motivate
Unit V: Delegating:
Overcome barriers to delegation, determine when to delegate and to whom, separate delegation and task assignments

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

At the end of the workshop, the participant will be able to:

Identify essential supervisory skills and needs for personal development
Use a process to design jobs to meet defined needs and to fill jobs with the right person
Identify ways to modify leadership style to improve employee effectiveness and productivity
Identify techniques to improve morale through a positive approach to correcting errors
Use delegation of responsibility to improve employee productivity
