A skilled professional development trainer, Melissa facilitates workshops in such varied topics as management development, career development, cultural diversity, interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills, assertiveness training, stress management and time management. Her methodology, which is based on action learning principles, is designed uniquely for the client and is tailored for a specific purpose and output.
She has published several articles on career development and global leadership.As a master instructor with The Training Clinic since 1985, Melissa conducts a variety of train-the-trainer workshops. Melissa has had extensive preparation in adult learning theory, workshop presentation methods and instructional design. She has experience designing and facilitating case studies, inventories and self-assessment tools in communication skills, leadership styles and personal behavior.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant and trainer, Melissa's professional experience included 12 years in retail management and training. She created and managed the training and development function for a two-billion-dollar retail company.
Melissa graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Occidental College and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with special emphasis on organization development from The University of Michigan.
Melissa is a fun, dynamic presenter and course designer who stimulates individual participation, group involvement and learning.
