Helen Young is the President of Young & Associates, a firm that specializes in training of trainers, instructional design, and distance education. Helen also serves as a master instructor for The Training Clinic. Her program experience includes: presentation and communication skills, adult learning and training styles, training design, using technology as a training tool, and e-learning for trainers.

Helen has developed and designed programs for universities, Fortune 500 corporations, trade associations, and government agencies. As a seasoned trainer and instructional designer, Helen has worked in designing and delivering workshops for a variety of clients, including:

Before opening her own consulting firm, Helen's professional career included eight years with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) where she worked as a Training Specialist and a Research Analyst. Her background in research compliments her training skill set. Helen is proficient in all phases of survey design and delivery, including designing instruments, administering surveys, analyzing data, and writing reports. She also has extensive experience developing training documentation, including:

Helen holds a Training Specialist Certificate from Georgetown University, a Master of Science from the University of Maryland, and Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware. She is qualified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®.

Helen's work in developing courses and presentations for instructor-led and distance learning environments has utilized many media. She has worked with desktop automation, satellite broadcasting, distributed learning, and the Internet. Her professional passion, however, remains in the classroom offering train-the-trainer programs to all types of audiences.
