HOW TO TRAIN PEOPLE
TO USE COMPUTERS

                                  (a one-day workshop)

This is a train-the-trainer workshop for those who must train others to use software (either mainframe or PC). Practice the basics of getting learners involved, making training less boring, using documentation in training and using other methods appropriately. How to design and evaluate this type of training are covered in the two-day version of this workshop.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

At the end of the training, you will be able to:

  1. Use a systematic approach to easily help people use new software.
  2. Use adult learning techniques to improve retention and reduce learner resistance.
  3. Get feedback on 10 key elements of your instructional style.
  4. Use coaching techniques to help learners become more self-directed.
  5. Avoid overuse of lecture and involve participants in their own learning.
  6. Plan activities to help learners use new software.
